mjf introduces brings new up-and-coming young jazz artists into the spotlight.

This year the very best in young talent from across the county have been hand-picked for a Greater Manchester Jazz Showcase, with free performances each weekday afternoon in the Festival Pavilion.

We’ve worked with our friends at Wigan International Jazz Festival to give these young artists the chance to appear on stages at both the Wigan and Manchester festivals. Catch them before they’re famous…

mjf have also been working with Manchester Music Service on a special Jazz Day at RNCM, and our commissioned composer Neil Yates has been sharing his insights and music-making with a selection of 9-18 year-olds from Manchester schools.
